Posted by The Typist in New Orleans, NOLA, Uncategorized.

Maitri on VatulNET asks if someone can explain the convoluted recovery process for her. Here is my first shot. Let me know if this helps.

Finally someone got it right!! Can you say PAWNS

2. Maitri - July 25, 2006

Can someone say pWned?

This is so funny and correct – I can’t stop shaking my head and laughing.

It may not be a whole batch of brownies but I will whip you up a dessert concoction that is out of this world.

Bwaa ha ha ha! That is the greatest thing I’ve seen in years! I’m going to print, frame, and hang it on my living room wall!!

4. Schroeder - July 26, 2006

Aw damn! I just pissed my pants you bastard!

5. suz - July 27, 2006

(Dang, snorted Diet Coke over the keyboard!) A MASTERPIECE!!

6. Karen - July 27, 2006

I have actually been studying this thing, I think there are a few more revisions..how about flooded residents somewhere in there, you know the people who actually suffered a loss so others could spend millions “planning” Maybe a stuck between meemaw and ray

7. Adrastos - July 27, 2006

The scary thing is that the chart is realistic. How did i miss bumbling into this site before?

8. NolaJ - July 27, 2006

I LOVE IT. This is genius.
This captures exactly how we feel.
How about some battered and beaten residents swirling around the toilet?

9. wetbankguy - July 27, 2006

Your wish is my command.

10. Karen - July 27, 2006

Ok Mark, I’m supposed to doing serious work here, and you are killing me! *giggles*

I think you have caught the true spirit of their Plan, but the Locals have a different Plan.

Cue masses with pitchforks, axes and torches-

Lighting on guillitine and jail carts-

Activate tears on the faces of Guv’mit & Corporate evildoers…

14. NolaJ - July 28, 2006

Thanks for the add of the battered citizens. It is PERFECT!. They look how I feel.
I think that Concordia should be added back to the swirl and you should definately add NPN!

15. NolaJ - July 28, 2006

When this gets published as a poster…..
and it will honey…. it will….
I would like to be in line for one of the first 10 prints
and YOUR signature on the copy.
This is going to be a collectors edition Katrina memento.
And based on what I have seen so far… this investment is one of the few ways any of us, regular folks, are going to get a dime of recovery money!

16. Maitri - July 28, 2006

You’ve got to add City Council in there. Remember, my rules said you couldn’t leave any key members out!

17. Metroblogging New Orleans - July 28, 2006

While a bunch of us ironed out more of the upcoming Rising Tide Conference last night, it seems there was a showdown at the City Council meeting. As predicted, NOCSF/UNOP’s pitiful lack of PR and advertising for such an important…

18. Karen - July 29, 2006

Your Chart is being used in Washington

19. Bob - August 7, 2006

And how would you place Bingler/Concordia/LRA

then Nathan Shroyer/Concordia/NPN

I would say the gatekeepers of money and acsess

You want money bingo to bingler

you want a “face” of the Neighborhood, he will find you one, NPN..The Recovery Dog and Pony Show

21. Tim - July 3, 2008

Okay, this is just me being a geek, but water swirls down the loo in the counterclockwise direction, same as a tropical cyclone.

Funny stuff.
