For any that don’t know and want to visit and pay respects, the Potter’s/Holt Cemetery is next to Delgado. Buddy Bolden’s monument is there. A couple other interesting near but just-off-the-beaten-path cemeteries are on River Road in Kenner, just past Williams Blvd. (where Octoberfest is presently going on). Two of the older and interesting cemeteries are there: African-American and Italian.
The easiest entry is from the back along Gen. Diaz street at the corner of the site. I don’t remember where the actual gate is, but I suspect it’s at the end of Buddy Bolden Drive off City Park.
